Mr S Naicker, a tipper truck driver, one day sat down with his wife and decided they needed to take a chance in life and alter their own destiny. At the tender age of 25, Mr Naicker scraped up whatever money he could find and purchased his own Tipper. As a proud owner-driver he headed off to work in the country-side.
In 1987 Swift-Sands was established!! Later on he started trading as Swift Earthmoving & Plant Hire cc.
Despite the numerous challenges, Mr & Mrs Naicker continued to strive and have expanded to become one of Durban’s most reliable and affordable Earthmoving and Plant Hire company. Since the addition of their very first TLB in the early 90’s they have since ventured into earthmoving. They went on to purchase more TLB’s and a few excavators with bucket and pecker attachments.
The management and staff at Swift conduct business with extreme integrity and professionalism. Every client is afforded a ‘meet and greet’ with the owner of the company at some point which proves we are big enough to do the job but still small enough to care.

Social upliftment/development
We at Swift are grateful to be afforded with many opportunities whereby we are able to give back to the community through churches and other development programmes.
We were closely involved with the Chatsworth Hospice and Faith Centre Ministries both of which are dedicated to helping the under-privileged people of our community.
One of our 2014 benefactors were the Malvern Childrens Home.
In March 2015, we were afforded the opportunity to bless the children at William Clark Childrens Home with lunch followed by boxes of toys, books and clothes. We also fed the little kids at Edith Benson Babies Home.
